The regular meeting of the Smyrna Historical and
Genealogical in cooperation with the Williams Park Neighbors will provide a
"Double Header" this month.
The meeting will be at the Smyrna Museum, 2861 Atlanta Street, Smyrna, Georgia 30080.
"Smyrna in the Era of the Great Depression"
Narrated by Prof. Bill Marchione, Smyrna Historical Society program chairman
and chairman of the Williams Park Neighbors History Committee.
This PowerPoint presentation is largely based on the diaries kept between 1927 and the early 1940s by Bess Terrell of 1389 Roswell Street (Nancy McGee's grandmother), and should therefore be of special interest to WPN residents.
There is no handicap access to the meeting room at the museum.
The program will be repeated
Wednesday February 29, 2012 7:00 p.m. in the
Council Room of Smyrna City Hall, Administrative Services Building ,
2800 King Street.
Smyrna City Hall is handicap accessible.
Anyone interested in the history of Smyrna is invited to attend either or both of the presentations.
